GRADE 9 ENGLISH HONORS

ATTENTION ALL ENGLISH 11 CLASSES:

FOR THIS - YOU MUST OWN A COPY OF:

AND BRING IT TO CLASS ON 3/19.
FRESHMAN HONORS ENGLISH
Our Next Unit will be Uglies by Scott Westerfield
beginning 4/16/12
All Students must own a copy of the book and bring it to class on 4/16.
GRADE 11 ENGLISH Class Materials*:
- One, 3" three ring binder - a smaller one will not hold everything.
- One vinyl (plastic) pocket folder (this will be used all year to transport work to and from home, a paper folder will not hold up.)
- One three ring pencil/pen pouch to be left in your English binder
- Pens (any color but red) and pencils (for the pouch!)
- At least 50 sheets of loose-leaf paper for note taking.
- One small (about 4" x 6") notebook, that fits inside the pen/pencil pouch, for recording new vocabulary words.
Other materials will be needed for specific units and will be listed in each Unit Overview.
GRADE 9 HONORS Class Materials*:
- One, 3" three ring binder - a smaller one will not hold everything.
- 8 Dividers
- One Plastic Pocket Folder or Accordion/Divided Folder = Your CURRENT UNIT FOLDER. This will be used all year to transport work to and from home, a paper folder will not hold up.
- One three ring pencil/pen pouch to be left in your English binder
- Pens and pencils (for the pouch!)
- At least 50 sheets of loose-leaf paper for various assignments.
- One Notebook (Composition or Spiral) to be used for in-class journal entries, note taking, etc. - at least 70 pages.
Other materials may be needed and will be listed on specific Unit Overviews.
*NOTE: I have used binders and pencil pouches that you may purchase (binders - $1.00, pouches, small vocab notebooks, spiral notebooks - $.50). Proceeds go to the English Dept. Equipment Fund.
